Join us at SAMPE 2025 in Indianapolis for Smart Manufacturing in Composites
On Wednesday, May 21 from 2-5pm, IACMI will be leading a session at SAMPE: “Can We Apply Smart Manufacturing to Composites?” Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Industry 4.0 are all tools than can be combined to get there, but how? This session will feature real time successes using some of these tools, followed by a facilitated discussion among panelists and the audience. We will be seeking industry input to identify priority translational research and demonstrations needed to overcome barriers to Smart Manufacturing implementation. This session is open to all SAMPE attendees regardless of badge type.

Submit Your Resource Pool Project
Beginning Friday, April 4, IACMI will be accepting proposals from members for the next round of Resource Pool Projects. These are technical projects up to $50,000 that advance, utilize, or demonstrate emerging technologies that have the potential to attract higher levels of follow-on-funding. Submissions will be accepted through May 23.

Winona State Becomes First ACE Composites Hub
IACMI is pleased to welcome Winona State University in Minnesota as the first Composites Hub for America’s Cutting Edge. In addition to a series of free online courses focused on composites machining in automotive, energy storage, and aerospace, Winona State will offer no-cost, hands-on training starting this summer.
